Info about local beaches:
Artificially Sahara brought yellow sand. Beautiful and not busy. Clean water, usually not windy and offers amazing sunsets.
It is the closest beach from our home. Walking takes only 15 minutes. If you want to avoid large and loud crowds of tourists this is your best place to be.
Things to remember:
- you can walk along the coast from Tauro beach to Playa del Cura
- best to bring your own parasol
One of the most beautiful beaches in the southern part of Gran Canaria. It has plenty car par spaces but might be a bit more busy during weekends. Surrounded with a great selection of bars and restaurants.
While waiting for the sunset, don’t hesitate to visit fantastic chillout lounge Amadores Beach club & spa. Walking from the apartment takes only 25 minutes but it is best to commute by car – only 5 mins or a local taxi. If you go by bus it is best to get off at Playa De Amadores but stop. Buses: 1, 33, 39, 70, 90, 91, 321
Things to see:
- Take a walk along the cliff to the nearby Puerto Rico! It’s recommended during the “golden hours” so you can have a chance to see a spectacular sunset and sometimes even the tip of El Teide, the Tenerife’s volcano.
Things to remember:
- Walk along the coast towards the yellow sand Tauro beach.
- Take a walk around the local cafes, you might want to visit a very famous Italian restaurant Jardin Playa Del Cura located in the El Cardenal complex.
A small beach area with water with no waves so it is safe for small children. Right next to it visitors will find a picturesque harbour full of places to eat and drink. We recommend walking along little aisles full of flowers and cosy balconies. It is called Little Venice by locals.
One of the tourist most popular attractions! Driving by car takes around 20 minutes from Tauro. You will find a large car park near the beach. You’ll find a large number of pubs and restaurants that serve local food at a reasonable prices.
Things to remember:
- If you fancy walking along the beach or the Dunes make sure you wear comfortable shoes
- Carry a bottle of water during the hot days.
- They have Mercadona, where you can shop groceries at local prices.
Anfi Del Mar is one of the nicest spots to visit for sunbathing, beautiful white sand carried from Bahamas and peaceful bay will be a perfect place for families with kids. This sheltered swimming beach is located close to a Spar supermarket, boutiques and restaurants to refresh after a hot day. You can rent an umbrella or a pedal boat to view the surroundings.
- Dont’f forget to visit small garden on a heart shaped island next to the marina, from where you can catch a ferry to Arguineguin, Puerto Rico or Puerto de Mogán.
