Playa de Tauro

Artificially Sahara brought yellow sand. Beautiful and not busy. Clean water, usually not windy and offers amazing sunsets. It is the closest beach from our home. Walking takes only 15 minutes. If you want to avoid large and loud crowds of tourists this is your best place to be. Things to remember:

  • you can walk along the coast from Tauro beach to Playa del Cura
  • best to bring your own parasol

Surrounded with a great selection of bars and restaurants. While waiting for the sunset, don’t hesitate to visit fantastic chillout lounge Amadores Beach club & spa. Walking from the apartment takes only 25 minutes but it is best to commute by car – only 5 mins or a local taxi. If you go by bus it is best to get off at Playa De Amadores but stop. Buses: 1, 33, 39, 70, 90, 91, 321 Things to see:

  • Take a walk along the cliff to the nearby Puerto Rico! It’s recommended during the “golden hours” so you can have a chance to see a spectacular sunset and sometimes even the tip of El Teide, the Tenerife’s volcano.

Playa del Cura

Lovely little bay with darker than usual fine sand. It is usually quiet and calm and therefore very safe for the youngest. The sun is available throughout all day – from early morning to early evening. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent and the beach is close to local bars and restaurants, just 2 minutes away. It is easy to park a car in the nearby car park. Walking from the apartment takes only 16-20 minutes – just remember that it is best to walk first to the end of Playa de Tauro and then take a small shortcut. Going by car takes only 5 mins or you might as well take a local taxi for around 5€. If you go by bus it is best to get off at Playa De Cura but stop. You’ll discover that local restaurants serve delicious food, too. Things to remember:

  • Walk along the coast towards the yellow sand Tauro beach.
  • Take a walk around the local cafes, you might want to visit a very famous Italian restaurant Jardin Playa Del Curalocated in the El Cardenal complex.
